GENERAL FAQ
1. Is your membership price comparable to a big gym such as 24 Hour Fitness?
No. We provide Coaching to all our athletes (we refer to our members as athletes), and not just a big warehouse where you can come sit in a machine to do your reps. We are more like a collegiate athletic facility where you LEARN how to do what you need to do and therefore our membership cost reflects what we provide; an Education along with a workout!
2. Do you offer a free class?
Yes. Please call to schedule your free class visit. Please arrive 10 minutes before class to fill out some paper work along with a tour of the facility.
3. Any rules I must follow?
We have 3 rules at our facility.
POSITIVITY - Always be and think positive! No whining, complaining, talking trash about people, etc. We will always have a positive attitude for our selves and towards one another.
COMMUNITY - You will treat one another with respect, courtesy and constant encouragement. NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND! If you see a new person at the gym, you must introduce your selves and welcome them into the family.
ACCOUNTABILITY - We are all accountable for our own thoughts, actions, reactions, health, and fitness.

KRAV MAGA FAQ
1. I am out of shape and have never done any type of Martial Art. Is Krav Maga right for me?
Yes. Krav Maga was developed to be effectively used by anyone regardless of their age or strength. Because of this, Krav Maga is more right for you than most other Martial Arts. If you are out of shape, you will get into better shape by doing Krav Maga, Crossfit or even better, BOTH!
2. What kind of things or techniques do I learn in Krav Maga and do you have a belt system?
Please check our Krav Maga curriculum HERE.
3. Do I need to purchase special uniform or a Gi?
No. In Krav Maga, we do not require or wear a Gi. The system is for self defense in real life and therefore you should be in your normal clothes and shoes when you learn and practice. We suggest wearing normal athletic or workout clothes and shoes of your choice.
4. Why should I choose this school vs. other Krav Maga schools?
This is a very important question. What are some of the things you should look for in a school? First you should check out their credentials. Krav Maga's popularity has been on a sharp rise lately and there are some people jumping on the band wagon. Ask questions and find out where the instructor received their training. Second, take a free class and experience a class for yourself. Do you like the Instructor? How is the class size? Third, check out the facility. Is it clean? properly equipped? How are the staff? Can they provide you with great service?
Here at Team CrossFit, our Instructors have been trained by some of the Krav Maga communitiy's top original Instructors. We are also committed to providing a small and personal class size. Our goal is not to cram as many people as possible into one class to make money. We pride ourselves in proper coaching and instructing of our clients. Bottom line? Go take a free class from all the schools in your area and choose the one that fits you the most!
5. What equipment do I need?
For Level 1 you will need hand wraps or fingerless MMA gloves for punching. Any kind will do as long as it wraps your wrist tight for protection against rolling your wrist while punching hard. Mouth guard and groin protection/cup are needed as well. For Level 2 you will need everything for Level 1 plus shin guards and 16oz boxing gloves. You can purchase the equipment at our proshop or any on-line MMA / fight gear store.

CROSSFIT FAQ
1. I don’t really workout and CrossFit looks way too hard and scary for me. Can anyone do this?
YES! Truth is this; The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents (or someone out of shape) differ by degree not kind. Our workouts are universally scalable. This means that it doesn't matter who you are, how good or bad in shape you are, you can do CrossFit, and you can do it safely because we can make the same set of exercises to fit your level. With that said, one crucial requirement you MUST have in order to do CrossFit is the willingness or the commitment to working out as hard as YOU can each and every time.
2. How hard is the workout?
The workout is very intense and demanding. However, as a beginner you will focus on technique and consistency FIRST. This will give you time to learn and begin to introduce your self and your body into the intense workouts in the future. Remember that you will get what you put in!There is no magic pill or a workout that will get you results without hard work.If you are looking for a workout where you can sit and watch TV or read a magazine while your working out, this is not the program for you.
3. Do you provide nutritional plans?
Although we do not provide you with a daily plan for your nutrition, we do provide you with a guideline and the tools for you to LEARN and execute a nutritional plan for your self. We can however monitor and track your plan along with you through a nutritional journal.
4. How long is the workout / class?
A typical class is 1 hour in length. A class is comprised of a warm up, skill session, and the workout. A warm up is about 10 minutes of basic exercises, joint mobility movement, and active stretching to get your body warm and ready for work. Skill session is where you will learn a specific movement(s) or an exercise(s) for your education. Next comes the workout. The actual workout can be anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes depending on the WOD (Workout Of the Day).
