As a Marine Officer, I must lead by example. Perception is reality, so that means I not only have to look the part, but also perform accordingly. Through CrossFit, paleo and the paleo challenge, I have finally attained a level of fitness where I feel better and perform better. I finally gained an 18 minute three mile run, and am inching up to a perfect score across the board for the Marine Corps physical fitness test. Quite honestly, all the physical training alone did not help me shed any fat, gain muscle or gain performance- it is all attributable to a change in diet based on the paleo standard and the program at Team CrossFit. – 1st Lieutenant Neil O.
Having had been with the military in active service for some time I thought that I was in pretty good shape, compared to most people. It wasnt until I heard of Crossfit, and then started doing the exercises that I realized how much strength I was lacking for even the most functional movements. I sustained many injuries in the military, and through proper training and coaching I’m stronger then I’ve ever been. I had only wished I’d found out about Crossfit before or even during the military, its definitely the best way to achieve a great level of fitness.
