EMILY RENNINGER - CROSSFIT COACH
Emily has been serious about fitness as a way of life for the past 8 years. Prior to that, she was a self professed “couch potato”! In her “former life”, Emily disliked gyms, wasn’t a fan of getting sweaty, never did cardio and loved to eat. In her early 30s, after realizing somewhere along the line she had packed on 35lbs, she knew it was time to make a serious change. She changed her eating habits, losing the first 20lbs through diet alone, but soon noticed her progress slowing. That’s when she finally sought the help of a personal trainer. By incorporating exercise into her life, learning all she could during the process, she was finally able to transform herself into the “fit girl” she knew she could be. Once her transformation was complete, she committed herself to helping others reach their goals by getting certified herself.
Emily’s strength lies in her personal understanding of the physical, mental and emotional obstacles to losing weight while incorporating a healthy lifestyle. Whether you’re trying to lose weight, get tone or just increase your current fitness level, she can help. It’s not an easy process, but she is living proof that with guidance and determination, anyone can reach their goals. Her clients say she’s “an ass-kicker with a heart” and that she seems to always find a way to inspire them and make exercise fun.
Emily continues her training education whenever possible, her next step being a Crossfit Level 1 Certification. As a recent personal accomplishment, in 2009 at the age of 40, she competed in her first Fitness Competition and placed 7th in her age group. She continues to push herself to her limits and has no plans of slowing down.

BARRY BORSES - KRAV MAGA INSTRUCTOR
Barry was fortunate to be introduced to Krav Maga as early as 1983. In a short time it became a passion which pushed him to excel through yellow, orange, green, and blue belt in just over a year and a half through intensive training and seminars. In the summer of 1984 he had the opportunity to train for four weeks in Israel with Eyal Yanilov, Elli Avikzar as well as Grand Master and Founder Imi Lichtenfeld at the Wingate Institute for Physical Education and Sport. He returned with his assistant instructor’s degree from the Administry of Education in Israel and a desire to teach all levels of Krav Maga to children and adults. In 1986 after his second trip to Israel and continued training with Darren and Eyal, Barry received his black belt and continued teaching in numerous locations and schools to help spread the system which he loves. After many years away, the desire to train has brought him back to Krav Maga with the same desire and passion to teach that had excited him before. He is proud to be able to once again pass along his knowledge and passion to Team Crossfit students and its members.
