EMILY RENNINGER - ASSISTANT COACH
Emily has been serious about fitness as a way of life for the past 8 years. Prior to that, she was a self professed “couch potato”! In her “former life”, Emily disliked gyms, wasn’t a fan of getting sweaty, never did cardio and loved to eat. In her early 30s, after realizing somewhere along the line she had packed on 35lbs, she knew it was time to make a serious change. She changed her eating habits, losing the first 20lbs through diet alone, but soon noticed her progress slowing. That’s when she finally sought the help of a personal trainer. By incorporating exercise into her life, learning all she could during the process, she was finally able to transform herself into the “fit girl” she knew she could be. Once her transformation was complete, she committed herself to helping others reach their goals by getting certified herself.
Emily’s strength lies in her personal understanding of the physical, mental and emotional obstacles to losing weight while incorporating a healthy lifestyle. Whether you’re trying to lose weight, get tone or just increase your current fitness level, she can help. It’s not an easy process, but she is living proof that with guidance and determination, anyone can reach their goals. Her clients say she’s “an ass-kicker with a heart” and that she seems to always find a way to inspire them and make exercise fun.
Emily continues her training education whenever possible, her next step being a Crossfit Level 1 Certification. As a recent personal accomplishment, in 2009 at the age of 40, she competed in her first Fitness Competition and placed 7th in her age group. She continues to push herself to her limits and has no plans of slowing down.
